Hello everyone! Today I will write about a Mazinger papercraft. This one is a custom version of GwiJang - a Korean designer. He shared this one for free, and I added a link at the end of this post so you can download this model (Template & Instruction) for free. I haven't made this model yet, but I quite like it. So I will share some of my opinions about this one.

He made a little adjustment from the Manga version, but you can still recognize him quite easily (To me he looks more like a Mazinkaiser than a Mazinger). Instead of using cylindrical shapes like the Manga, this one has a lot of edges and angles. Some people may like the original style more than this one because It's the identity feature of the Mazinger series. But since It's a custom version, this one is really cool though.

The texture of this model is unique. It's very similar to the Taekwon V papercraft (also designed by GwiJang). In my opinion, the texture is the signature of his model. You can't find anyone's design with this kind of texture.

Wings are the most customized parts of this model. It's more complex than the original design. Personally, I like the original wings more than this one. It doesn't feel like Mazinger with these wings. He looks like a fallen angel in nowadays video games (flap... flap... flap...)

The original wings are simple, but it's a simple good. He's a robot so those simple wings give me a feeling that they will help him in balancing (Just like Aircraft wings). But somehow remind me of the 90s Batman symbol.
